This production of Penelope by Enda Walsh reimagines the myth through a satirical, absurdist lens — part Bachelorette, part apocalypse, and entirely comedic chaos. The play follows four suitors vying for Penelope’s attention while Odysseus is away, revealing the fragility of masculinity and the absurdity of competition.

The media design integrates live-feed performance and layered projection. Four monitors form a rectangular “jumbotron,” transforming the runway-style seating into a non-realistic television studio or a sport arena. A handheld live camera, operated by the actors, broadcasts in real time, creating a parody of reality-TV spectacle. Two projectors complement this setup: one generates the shadow of the unseen Penelope, and the other supports emotional and atmospheric shifts through scenic projection.
